Located just 20 minutes from downtown Atlanta in the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area, the center is surrounded by 3000 acres of forest, streams and wildlife and offers visitors an opportunity to experience the natural beauty that Georgia has to offer. 

AWARE is a federally recognized, tax-exempt, non-profit organization of volunteers working to preserve and restore wildlife and its habitat through education and wildlife rehabilitation.
