HANDS-ON DAYS
“Hands-on Days” was developed specifically for people who cannot make a weekly committment but still want to help turn AWARE into a centerpiece for environmental education and wildlife rehabilitation in Georgia. WHO: Everyone is welcome. Whether you are able to volunteer once a year, once a month or once a week, we invite you to join us. WHEN: Every Sunday from 11:00am until dark. Please bring your own lunch (only fast food nearby) and hand tools if you want. PROJECTS: Building animal enclosures, enclosure furniture, fences, ponds, shelves, etc. Volunteers also participate in brush clearing, trail building, rock gathering, painting, planting, materials gathering, etc. For those that have already participated: Thank you for helping us on our journey to the fulfillment of our goals at AWARE. Please join us for a “Hands-on-Day”, and I promise that you will feel a huge sense of purpose in knowing that you have made a measurable impact on the education of our youth and the survival of our wildlife and its habitat. --Michael Ellis, Director
