In addition to animal care and facility volunteers, AWARE needs volunteers to fill the following positions:

Volunteer Event Coordinator

The Volunteer Event Coordinator will manage AWARE’s participation in at least 8 major events and festivals in the metro-Atlanta area each year.  This person will also coordinate any in-house events for the public.

Responsibilities:

- Locate and register AWARE for participation in events throughout the metro-Atlanta area. 

- Ensure that all events are adequately staffed by volunteers.

- Manage the organization, delivery and return of all materials.

- Manage all volunteers and activities during the event, including set-up and break-down of materials.

Qualifications:

- Must enjoy interacting with the public. 

- Previous experience with event planning and/or wildlife is desired, though not essential.
